Two and a half hours northeast of Edmonton is Lac La Biche. At 236 sq km, the lake is huge. Fishing in the lake is an exciting activity, and it has been known to yield fish of exceptional size. The challenge of reeling in a burbot or catching a trophy-sized pike or walleye will appeal to anglers. The lake also contains perch and whitefish.
Little Bear Lake
Little Bear Lake is one of those lesser-known gems that is about twenty minutes from Cold Lake. The rainbow trout, which lurk in the tranquil waters, are the lake's most popular catch. Other species, including tiger trout, have also been caught.
Peerless Lake
Peerless Lake, which is five hours north of Edmonton, is definitely worth the trip. The lake is quite large, has a fair amount of depth, and it has beautiful beaches, clear water, and beautiful scenery. Cold Lake
Cold Lake, which is in the province's northeast, is a haven for anglers. The lake is a great spot for sport fishing and has produced some large fish in the past. Siebert Lake

Siebert Lake is yet another northern treasure with unspoiled wilderness and crystal-clear waters. It is 265 kilometers northeast of Edmonton. This lake's pike fishing is legendary because it has yielded quality-sized fish. In addition to a regular fishing license, you will need a Trophy Lake license to fish in the lake.
